EMH ILLINOIS MSO, LLC
ABOUT
Who We Are
EMH Illinois MSO LLC was established in late 2021 to be the Management Services Organization for our 3 location franchise opportunity with Ellie Mental Health in Illinois. As we were evaluating where to focus our energy after leaving the corporate world, we were immediately drawn into the purpose (destigmatize mental health) and the values (authenticity, creativity, compassion, humor, acceptance & determination) of Ellie and our connection to mental health. We especially resonated with humor and authenticity as that is how we approach everything in our own lives.
Our personal connection to the mental health industry comes from a few places personally and professionally. The personal ones are related to individual family member's who have battled with stress in their own careers where they sought help including our own careers where a coach was necessary to help navigate a rough patch. We have also been very connected to the services we provide at VOA Illinois to homeless Veterans with PTSD and moral injury and we continue to expand our behavioral health services to other areas affecting the homeless. We also learned that there is a generational shift in a positive direction that is causing the next generations to openly speak about their mental health issues and that is helping to raise awareness that mental health should be on the same level as our focus on physical health.
Getting back to Ellie, not only were we connected to the purpose and values but the focus on creating a safe and welcoming space for therapy signaled we would have something to be proud to own and offer to our community. This alongside the focus on the Ellie match model, flexibility on hours for therapists and all the back office support will allow the therapists to treat the right patients on their own schedule with limited need to do any back office work for the clinic overall. We believe in the model so much that we have made a commitment to 3 clinics in the western suburbs of Chicago and then plan to evaluate how to expand further into underserved areas that are struggling to find the same level of mental health services.
